About Akasha Lonsdale

Headshot of Akasha Lonsdale, Psycho-Spiritual Life Mentor, akashalonsdale.com

Welcome, and thank you for being here.

I could simply list my qualifications, but that wouldn’t tell you who I really am, or whether I’m the right person to walk alongside you. So here’s a little more about me.

What inspires me?

Three things have always been at the heart of my work:

1. An insatiable curiosity about life
2. A desire to understand what makes us human
3. Wanting to make a difference

How did I get to do this work?

My career began in Human Resources, where over time the role became less about supporting people and more about rearranging their lives in ways I couldn’t accept. After asking for guidance on “what next?”, the word psychotherapist came loud and clear. Three years of training later, I left corporate life to set up in private practice. It cost me my first marriage, but gave me the life’s work I was meant to do.

Four decades (and countless trainings) later, I’m still doing what I love: mentoring clients so they can live authentic, engaged, and fulfilled lives.

Here are two brief comments from clients doing just that:

‘Akasha is the most insightful person I’ve ever met’

‘I came away with the sense that a deep healing had taken place, even though we only talked’

Who I work with

Most of my clients are professional women over forty-five, navigating the physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts of midlife. This stage often sparks reflection, questions, and deeper exploration. I meet each client exactly where they are, and together we find the way forward.

What I offer

  • A safe, confidential space without judgement
  • Clear, compassionate communication (without “psycho-speak”)
  • The ability to get to the heart of things quickly
  • Empathy, intuition, and deep listening
  • Spiritual wisdom woven with practical insight
  • Four decades of professional training, grounded in colourful life experience

What I’ve learned along the way

The challenges I’ve faced and overcome have taught me that:

  1. Your past is a GIFT!
  2. Nothing is wasted – every experience carries a lesson.
  3. Good communication is the key to growth and connection.

I see my life as a kaleidoscope: once fragmented pieces now blending into a rainbow arc.

What keeps me grounded?

Laughter, meditation, chanting, deep breathing, and the occasional scream behind a closed door (with my husband’s blessing!) Oh, and a cold glass of white wine at the end of the day!

Who inspires me?

So many! Here are a few. Caroline Myss. Marianne Williamson. Chloe Goodchild. Dr. Wayne Dyer. Elizabeth Gilbert. Mike Dooley. Dr. David Hawkins (not Richard). Mirabai Starr. Rev. Matthew Fox. Andrew Harvey. Shakti Gawain. Louise L. Hay. Neale Donald Walsch. Carl Jung. Carl Rogers.

My passions?

  • Being a catalyst for clients’ growth and fulfilment
  • Writing books, poetry, and articles
  • Endless curiosity about life, people, and the universe

When asked recently, “If you were a stick of seaside rock, what words would run through your centre?” my answer was easy: Integrity. Authenticity. Service. Connection.
